Frequently asked questions
Is this a subscription?+
No. There's no required subscription. Choose your delivery days, meals and side for the upcoming week and order by Thursday at midnight. Nothing renews automatically unless you choose to turn on repeat ordering.
Does my employer have to pay for this?+
No. Employees can choose their meals and pay individually, so there is no cost to the company. If your company would like to offer Eat Desk as an employee benefit, it can cover all or a portion of the meal cost and receive a company invoice.
How do we get started at our office?+
Request a complimentary tasting and we'll bring a selection of freshly prepared lunches for your team to try, with no cost or commitment. If Eat Desk is a good fit, we'll help you choose your delivery days and set everything up.
How does delivery pricing work?+
Individual orders include a $2.50 delivery fee for each delivery day. Offices with 5 or more coworkers ordering that week get free delivery. New customers get their first week of delivery free with code FIRSTWEEK.
How many meals do I need to order?+
Orders start at 3 meals per week. Choose 3, 4 or 5 delivery days, with lower per-meal pricing when you order more days that week. Your days can change from week to week.
How fresh is the food?+
Our meals are prepared within 24 hours of delivery and arrive chilled at your office, ready for the refrigerator until you're ready to eat.
Where do we store the meals?+
In your office fridge. Because we deliver one meal per person per day, there's nothing to stock up. No extra refrigeration, and no week's worth of containers taking over the office kitchen.
What if I'm out of the office one day?+
You can change your selections through Thursday at midnight for the following week. After the cutoff, your meal is delivered as scheduled. Since it arrives chilled, you can refrigerate it for later or share it with a coworker.
Can I customize my meals?+
Each day you choose from three meals, including one vegan option, and you pick your preferred side for every delivery day when placing your weekly order.
Do you accommodate food allergies?+
Common allergens are clearly identified on our menu and meal labels to help you make informed choices. However, our meals are prepared in a commercial kitchen where common allergens are handled, so we cannot guarantee that any meal is completely free from allergens or cross-contact.
Are the containers microwave-safe?+
Yes. Our containers are made from plant-based sugarcane fiber and are designed for microwave use. They're plastic-free and compostable, so you can heat your lunch without heating it in a plastic container.
